Potters Skill Development Training
With persistent efforts from Smt Divya Dholay - Managing Trustee - Sankalp Siddhi Trust , Mumbai & with support from Khadi & Village Industries Commission , Potters Skill development training of 40 consecutive days for 92 potters from Dharavi Kumbharwada was concluded on 29th March 2019.
Training was imparted by National Award Winners Shri Satish Borase and Laxman Borase.
Certificates to all 92 artisans were distributed on this day by Chief guest Smt Neeta Lad ji - Chairman Krystal Group of Companies and Shri SP Mishra - Director KVIC - Mah state office.
The training program which started on 21st feb 2019 was focused on adding value to traditional art by equipping the artists with carving tools and machines which will skill them in modern studio pottery. The same was visited by Smt Prita Verma - CEO KVIC & Shri Baramatikar ji - - JT CEO
In today’s era, potters in mumbai cannot survive with just tradition product production they need good handholding in terms of skills and certification which will help them make products that will fetch good price in urban market and that’s exactly what Smt Divya Dholay has achieved by getting Khadi & Village Indistries commission in Dharavi .
